Author J.J. LeVan and Illustrator James Newton have created a wonderful book for every child who needs to know they are loved by God, and for every parent who wants to affirm their unique child.
In this rhyming adventure book, children discover that no matter where they go or what they do, they are loved. From morning to night, through chaos and challenges, God’s unconditional loving care is with them every step of the way. In the end, readers are encouraged to embrace who God made them to be.
Here’s my review …
No matter your age, this book will move you, maybe even to tears. Even though it’s obviously geared toward children on the autism spectrum, it clearly sends the powerful message of God’s love to everyone, no matter who we are. The illustrations are wonderful. I highly recommend this for children ages 5 to 9, but again, anyone would love reading it. Five stars, for sure.
Here’s what another reviewer wrote: “I have an autistic son and wow! I knew this book is geared toward kids and they absolutely need this book (I’ll be reading it to my son EVERY DAY FOREVER). What I didn’t anticipate is that I NEEDED this book. I needed to hear those words.”

Here’s a little about the author of this powerful book – J.J. LeVan is a wife and mother whose oldest son was diagnosed with PDD/NOS in 1998. She has since become an advocate for and writer about autism, as well as a Certified Independent Provider for people with special needs. J.J. enjoys spending time with her family in Ohio, drinking fiercely black coffee and filling her three granddogs full of special treats.
I received a complimentary egalley of this book from the publishers. My comments are an independent and honest review.
