About

I’m a lover of quotes. Here are a few that have altered my path. Maybe they’ll change yours as well.

“I want to be thoroughly used up when I die.”

– George Bernard Shaw

“Anything I’ve ever done that ultimately was worthwhile … initially scared me to death.”

– Betty Bender

“Much prayer, much power. Little prayer, little power. No prayer, no power.”

– Unknown missionary

If you’ve guessed from these quotes that I always needs a new mountain to climb, you’re right.

I was born and raised in the Pittsburgh area of southwestern Pennsylvania, but have also lived in Switzerland and California and other places too. In fact, I’ve moved more than a dozen times (so far). Can’t even begin to count the number of churches I’ve attended!

After 30 years as a job search expert, executive coach, human resources consultant, newspaper columnist, and public speaker, I gladly traded in my high heels and leather briefcase to achieve my dream of being a women’s fiction author.

I’m happily married but have been divorced too. My wonderful daughter is married to a very good man, and they’ve blessed me with two amazing grandsons. I have a dog, a black-and-white Cocker Spaniel. Ceramic. Sits on my bookshelf, never barks, always smiles. He’s so encouraging.

Most readers say they like to travel, and I hope through my writing, you’ll enjoy vicarious travels of all kinds.
